The Zagreb Film Festival in cooperation with the Croatian Audiovisual Center has founded the streaming platform croatian.film to make Croatian short film more visible.
The bilingual platform offers a high-quality overview of local short film production in various categories (fiction, animation, documentary, experimental and hybrid film). The films can be viewed free of charge, also on mobile devices. At the moment there are about 120 films online, with more to come.
In addition to the film collection, the still young platform will also publish related content such as a film database, news, film columns and interviews with filmmakers.
Since the beginning of April, croatian.film has also been involved with its own virtual cinema (“Dvorana Müller”) on the platform Kino Europa Online, which commemorates the 95th anniversary of the closed Kino Europa in Zagreb in 2019.
The portal croatian.film is co-financed by the Croatian Ministry of Culture and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre. The project organiser is the Zagreb Film Festival.
