Hoda Taheri and Boris Hadžija met a few years ago at DFFB in Berlin, became friends and eventually started making films together. The collaboration between the two has resulted in the fictional-documentary hybrid films MOTHER PRAYS ALL DAY LONG (2022) and AS IF MOTHER CRIED THAT NIGHT (2023), directed by Hoda and produced by Boris, as well as the musical short film YUGOTRANSPORT – Wir sitzen alle im selben Bus (2022), directed by Boris.
The films premiered at the Locarno and Rotterdam film festivals. MOTHER PRAYS ALL DAY LONG was nominated for the German Short Film Award in 2022.
